I recently bought an 06 liberty trail rated. It didn't have a jack but I have one for it, just don't know where it's supposed to go.. Took it to the dealership and they had no idea. Anyone else know?! Thanks.

The dealer didn't know.....

Try under the rear seat passengers side, there should be a bolt in location there. That's where mine goes in my '04.

I'll check it out. That's where they put it for now so I guess that's gotta be right. Thanks!

Yea, the sucker is hiding under the passenger side rear seat.

Speaking of jacks, the ones that came in the 02 KJ's were the best. I wish I could find one. None of the salvage yards around here even have a KJ of any year last time I checked.

I found one on ebay awhile back. I think it was only $30 or so shipped.

I crushed the poor little thing that came with my Jeep.

OK, so here's a question that crossed my mind and I can't believe I didn't think about it before. With the Frankenlift/OME spring lift and 245/75/16 inch tires, will the stock jack clear that extra height, or do I need a new jack?

I suppose I could get it out and try, but it's dark and I'm lazy like that.

How's this for lazy, 129 views and 10 replies and noone has told this poor guy where to put his jack. I'll be the only nice one I guess, it's gonna hurt but here goes. It goes under the passenger side rear seat. That's where mine is, unless I have some custom job, but the owners manual says it there too. I'd like to think I have a cool spot for it, but I think it is pretty much universial. Sorry it took so long for you to get a straight answer. Good luck with putting it back where it belongs.

Actually, if you look at the posts, #2,4,5,6, and 7 and your post told and confirmed where it goes.

As to the 129 views, I don't know. Could it be including people who are not signed in as members who cannot post anyway??? Either that, or a real lot of people that do not know where the jack is or goes, along with some that read the post and found the answer so they just moved on???

I do not think there is anyway to tell. But I am curious.

I guess we are way off topic now but it has been answered.

New jack needed.Oddly my OEM jack wouldn't even lift a wheel off the ground when totally stock while stock sized tires(225/75R16 MT/R's).I now carry a 8 ton bottle jack and a 48" HiLift jack(but I have F/R and side points to use the HiLift).

tjkj, you have an 02 which had the better jack than the 03-07. I can't believe it wouldn't take your stock jeep off the ground. Now I am afraid to try mine out...........I am carrying 2x8 blocks of wood and a hi-lift hydralic jack that I just took out. I am putting it back in now. I also got 2 compressors, a tire plug kit I made up.

JeepJeepster, What are we to do once we are lifted? Other than a high lift jack!
Stock jack no workie anymore. :D. Kinda hard to get AAA out on the trail  Of course that one reason not to wheel alone!!!

Well, I was hoping a chunk of wood would do it but now I'm going to have to get it out and try. Thanks for the heads-up.

haha, love that show..

The jack I have from a 2002 liberty lifts mine off the ground just fine. I only have 245/70/16 tires though.
