I had a little bad luck that turned in to good luck, I got a flat tire ant took it to the local tire place to get it fixed. They said they had a brush guard they would give me for $100 bucks. So i jumped at it. Anyways. The lower brackets are pretty easy and i understand how to install them. But the upper ones land right in the middle of my bumper. Any idea what is going on with that. I don't know the year of the guard. My liberty is an 07. Thanks

On my Explorer, the upper bracket went between the bumper and grille. Don't know how that would work on a KJ. If you can find the manufactures name mor model somewhere on the guard you can goto their web site and see if they have install instructions. That's what I did.

Its a Mopar guard. I have looked at other threads that said mopar was no help with things like that. If anyone has pictures of a KJ with a factory brush guard installed that would be a huge help.

It's probably off an '02-04 model, and your bumper is different on the '07.

I kinda have the same issue, I found a nice Mopar grill guard, but there is no mounting hardware and Chrysler doesn't make them anymore. Like you, I know where the bottom bolts to, but have no idea where the top would fasten to.

Anyone have pics of their Mopar Grill Guard Part # 82207777 or could you tell me where the top brackets mount to exactly...thru the grill area somewhere yes but where??

Yep that grill guard is for a '02-'04 KJ,those top mounts actually go through the grill openings and bolt to the radiator side supports.Unless you forgo the upper mounts, which would cause considerable damage in a front hit and more then having the brush guard mounted correctly, that will not work on your '07

Thinking back, I've never seen one for an 05+. Maybe I did, but don't recall.
