Hey guys. My girl is looking to get this one liberty but all the badges are shot and the chrome has pealed off. If she decides to get the Jeep she wants to replace the badges. my question is... whats a good and decently priced vendor that I can get them from? I found all the badges at autotrucktoys.com but I think there prices are a little off the wall. They want $38 each for the Jeep and 4x4 badges and $28 for the trail rated badge. Which is crazy for a couple pieces of plastic.

Here the link to autotrucktoys.com

If anyone knows of any other vendors please leave a link or something. Thanks in advance!!

Show her a debadged one, maybe she'll like it. I ripped all the badging off of mine and I think it looks a lot more clean.

I did the same thing with mine. The only ones I left on were the 65th Anniv. ones and the trail rated badge. Just show your girl a de-badged one and see what she thinks.

Debadge it. It's easy and free. Just wait for a really warm day.

I debadged mine. I used plastic trim tool for stereos, a little goo gone, washed and detail misted it. It looks like they were never there.

Those prices sound about right for an actual Mopar part. (Around here anyway.)
Remember, this is how auto manufactures make their money, off of replacement parts, not new vehicle sales.

Ya .. don't forget to ad that we always pay the Great White North price up here!

I think just get the 4x4 badges and the Trail Rated badge. Those are the status symbols...

Thanks for the posts guys. I talked to her about de-badging it but she wants the badges. I plan on replacing the Jeep badge and trail rated badge. The Liberty badging on the door wills go since I can't find it so far (maybe i'll buy some chrome letters and Put KJ on the door instead "cheaper" lol). The 4X4 badging on the back corner panels will also go and I'll slap the 4x4 badge on the rear gate instead like the 05+ models. At least it will have unique Badging scheme for it's model year.

Does anyone know whare I can find the 3.7L badges?

My badges are also fading due to the UV light from the Sun!
I'll be removing them this up coming weekend for the full "De-badged" look!
I personally do not care if anybody else "knows" what kind of vehicle I own!
Less chance of water working it's way under the badges and causing corrosion that I don't want or need.

Thanks for the link. I'm thinking about buying some stuff for my KJ now :).

My KJ is 2 and 1/2 years old and my Badges still look new. I actually wax mine and that seems to do the trick.

Waxing or not the new badges hold up to abuse. The old ones just didn't. My sister's KJ is 4 years old now (March 23, 2005 build date) and hers look brand new.

Now that you menton it... I do see a lot of older KJs with the chrome missing/peeling off the letters. So on the new KJs they give them better chrome but crappy window regulators lol go figure.

We still have the crappy window regulators, don't worry lol. I also had to debadge mine for the exact same principle. Mine has always had multiple coats of wax and that did not do anything to keep the badging from deteriorating.

I just got my driver door regulator replaced and it was the "new dealer fix" with also replacing the windows and after a week my window is already rocking back and forth when I put it up or down. I know keeping the tracks clean plays a roll in it but They can't be that dirty after a week.

Believe me, I know from experience... even if the '02 - '05 Libertys have an occasional window regulator break, it's not a dang near guarantee as it is with the '06-'07 models.
