I am planning on getting the springs and shocks most on here talk about but for now since I need new shocks I was wondering if I could run the rancho shocks

2 Rancho RSX 17505's
2 Rancho RSX 17004's

on the KJ with stock springs for now? Not looking to get lift out of just the shocks but my current shocks are pretty worn out.

First gen, the 98-03. (RSX17004)

The later model has a different partnumber for the shock. (RSX17086)

They may fit I don't know...all I know is I am very happy with my 17004's.

If you have a minute, maybe you can try and see if one of the rear shocks of your Durango fit on your KJ? :p

Take pics and measurments!:D

Here's a pic. I painted the shock black, normally it's white but that didn't match with my front.

Rancho 17004...............OME............JEEP stock shock

You must be registered for see images

Sure...I can take measurements...when the KJ gets home.:)

This measurement means nothing
different bump stop length
different spring rate
different mounting locations
different rigs

The info the op needs is simply answered with no you can not use the rancho shocks with OE springs
you need to extend your rear bump stops = to the extra length of the shock
so about 2"
that will leave you with some thing like 1" of travel
so you will hit the bump stops on every bump

Thanks for the replys guys.

If I run these worn shocks for another 3 to 4 weeks til I order the Rachos and OME springs do I run the risk of breaking anything?
