New door speaker wiring....

I am attempting to wire new door speakers for my 03 kj sport and when I took the right rear door panel off and removed the factory speaker I cut the harness and there is two wires. I believe they were both brown but one had a purple line and the other had a black line, can someone tell me which one is positive and which one is negative. I don't want to try and figure it out by risking blowing the new speaker. Also I have read somewhat about the kj's being equiped with Infinity amp for the speakers. I don't know if mine is but if so whats the best way of getting my new Kenwood headunit to power the speakers instead of the amp?

I would say that the purple striped wire is the positive.

If your front speakers just had two wires and no big amp on the back of the speaker then its not the infinity system...
