I would have thought it would be easier to get paid memberships if this feature was available as well.

Lot of add-ons for vbulletin and other forum engines.
Dunno what to do with vbulletin.
Alternatively we could simply make our own chatroom with one of the free services?

Nope, tailhook stays up and is pinned. Huge ass chains hold the jet in place. There are tether points on the gear and behind station 5 (centerline pylon). Can't have the engine access doors open to make OSG adjustments with the hook down.
