I have a 2003 Jeep liberty. And i'm having problems with coil pack number four. I'm literally pushing on it as hard as I can And it will not go down. There's nothing on the spark Plug ,no leftover boot Is from the spark plug socket or anything

That is really odd.
Something must be preventing the coil pack from seating.
Remove the coil pack. Use a flashlight to see inside or on top of the spark plug.

As said above, carefully recheck everything in the area. Is the plug threaded all the way in?

Almost looks like coil pack could be stuck trying to fit down, larger diameter?
Is this the first time trying this coil pack? What brand is it?
I use the Standard UF270 brand, they work well & fit perfectly with KJ.

Several good thoughts on checks. Maybe try another coil pack to see if pack is the problem? Compare pack with original to see how much difference, if any?

If you are limited on things to try, remove a coil pack from another plug and see if it fits. If it does then you know the problem is in the coil pack you removed. If it doesn't, the problem is in the original cylinder.

You might pull the plug and then check and see if it will fit into the coil pack.
