Front drive shaft

2007..had the front drive shaft removed this winter because of bad rear joint....well the shop kinda boogered the cap..I want to rebuild the joint..will this damaged cap effect the balance?...thanks

I doubt it since the rebuild kit will cap with a new cover.

Yeah but that cv joint with the dented cap seems to be still good..it's the transfer case side that's shot

The CV joint kits are available on ebay. There are plenty of Utube videos to show you the procedure. It's really easy but will make a mess! I would do both ends and Good luck.
