Green driver here with an 02 Liberty Sport 4X4 automatic.

I'm looking for used winter tires on rims, but I'm not sure if I need exactly the same tire size as I currently have, of if there is some play there.

Currently I have stock-size tires (235/70r16)

My questions:

Will any 16" rims with a 5 bolt pattern fit my jeep?

Do different companies (ford, dodge, etc) have different 5 bolt patterns?

Could I use a different rim size and/or aspect ratio without having to tinker with my odometer or change my gear-ratio? (I realize I would have to check the overall size and make sure it won't rub.)

Would 245/70r16 tires fit?

Thanks in advance!

Answers in order:
No, they have to be a 4.5" bolt pattern.
Yes.
Yes you could. With factory aluminum wheels, stay 16" diameter or larger so you have brake caliper/tie rod clearance.
They should but not guaranteed. If your current tires are a tight fit, your suspension is badly sagged and slightly larger tires may rub.

Liberty stock 16 inch rims are 7 inches wide 5 x 4.5" or 5 x 114.3mm. Hub size 71.5 mm, 5.5inches of backspacing or offset of ~41 - 42 mm

The factory 17s have slightly differnt backspacing / offset and varry by year but all fit stock no issues.

The jeeps wheels will fit a ford fusion but not the other way around. Hub size is 67.15mm so will not fit on liberty. similar story with some of the other smaller jeeps like the compass and patriot.

Good place to start would be to see how much the suspension has sagged
Brand new stock 245-70-16s rubbed slightly on full turn
You didn't mention how many miles are on yours but I've seen 07s with 78,000 where 235-70-16s were rubbing bad
So little more information may help to determine if/when/maybe/ possibly
( if measuring height in front its center of the wheel to bottom of the flare )
