ABS Brake Bleeding

My '03 KJ has nearly 36.000 miles and I want to do a brake fluid change... I was reading the service manual and I still have some questions... I'd be grateful for any help

1.- How many fluid do I need for a basic bleeding?
2.- The service manual says you have to have a DRB scan tool to cycle the fluid through the HCU pump and solenoids... Someone did this thing before?
3.- The manual also says that you have to perform the bleeding twice... Someone can confirm that?
