    Adding Cruise to the CRD

Those could very well be the parts your looking for but without pics, I can't be 100% certain. You could always call your local dealer and ask the parts guys. They might even match the pricing too. Then, you can inspect the parts before you pic them up.

    Adding Cruise to the CRD

Greg, Everything works fine. I took it to the dealer as planned and they finished hooking it up through their computer system. The tech said that he added a ground wire somewhere but I couldn't see any new grounds in the wheel assembly or near the wiring harness. I looked for quite a while...

    Boost hoses....warranty?

They shouldn't be lubricate but they do tend to collect oil! The service manager I know talked to a few different techs and they all said that Jeep won't cover them. So, I ordered the Samco hoses. Hopefully that will fix it!

    Boost hoses....warranty?

Has anyone gotten their boost hoses replaced under warranty? I'm in the extended 7/70 period now. Last night I noticed a boost leak and it got louder before I got home. I called the dealer and they're checking to see if it's covered but I thought I'd see if anyone out here has gotten it...

    Adding Cruise to the CRD

As I suspected, a replacement clockspring is not necessary. I took everything apart last night and reassembled it with the new wiring and switches. I have an appt on Wednesday to get it hooked up to StarSCAN and have the cruise turned on. I'll report back and let you know that everything...

    Adding Cruise to the CRD

Ok, here's an update. Tulsa had some leftover cruise control switches and a harness so I pulled apart my steering wheel today to take a quick look at the clockspring. Below are some pics. I think that the existing wire that runs to the horn is taken off and replaced with the new harness...

    Adding Cruise to the CRD

Tony, I sent a PM to CATCRD to confirm that no clockspring is needed. I'll let you know what I find out. Tim

    Adding Cruise to the CRD

I remember you CATCRD and you were one of the guys I was thinking about over on LOST. I remember Sir Sam telling me about your "success." BTW, what did get any flak when you went to the dealer to have them enable the cruise with StarSCAN? If you remember, how much did it cost for them to do it?

    Adding Cruise to the CRD

Lewis, Over on LOST, there was a thread and a few people who've done it successfully. In order to make it work, we need the cruise control switches on the steering wheel and there's a small wiring harness that goes underneath the airbag. Once those are installed, you'll need to get in touch...

    Adding Cruise to the CRD

I know there were a few guys over on LOST that added cruise to their CRD. I remember that UFO had a thread on it but since LOST is down, I can't access it now. Google hasn't been much help but I'll keep trying different searches. I know that I need the steering wheel buttons but I don't...
