2007 Sport. Is this a DIY job for the average guy (not a mechanic), or am I better off having the repair shop do this? The local shop wants $580, and while what little info I've found online indicates that this is a fair price, it's still a little rich for me. Any links to how-tos?

Yesterday I couldn't get my 2007 Liberty Sport to start. I had just driven it the night before with no problems, then the following afternoon, it cranks, but won't start, and the little "lightning bolt" ETC light comes on. I've had no drivability problems recently, so this is a puzzle to me...
