Tear Down Done
I worked on the beast Saturday and got the engine torn down. I did some cleaning. I have the block loaded in my truck to get hot tanked.
I removed the crankshaft and rods from the donor block. They look good. the crank has been ground once. The main and rod journals are both 0.25 mm under sized. The cylinders still have cross-hatching all the way to the top, so I am planing to just run a flex hone through them and call it good.
The heads look good. They will get a good cleaning, some new valve seals, then back on they go...

Looking at the spark plugs..... its apparent that the previous owner used the same strategy with tune-up maintenance as he did with oil changes.:Frustrated:
