06 liberty. When I back up in the morning if I lightly touch the brakes the passenger rear will clunk. If you let off the brakes and push it again it will clunk again. Seems to go away when it is warm. Any ideas?

My brakes squeal when cold and backing up while lightly applying them. I have torn them all apart 3 times there is nothing wrong that I can find.

Check the rearmost hanger for the exhaust pipe. Mine had completely rusted through, which caused the exhaust pipe to rub against the inner fender.

It caused the exact symptoms you're describing, I also thought it was a brake issue at first.

And the upper control arm balljoint. Mine clunks like this (and in other conditions) due to the worn out "boomerang" joint.
