Will an 08 242 transfer case fit my 06?

I have an 06 3.7 auto with the 2nd-4hi-n-4lo transfer case. No idea what model. Will a 242 from an 08 fit? Don’t need one but can get a steal on one so thinking of shelving it. Unless someone on here needs one.

Totally different shifting mechanism. The 08 has an electronic flip switch and a motorized shifter controlled by the Jeep’s computer. I doubt that would work in a KJ.

I decided to pass on it. Good thing since it wouldn’t have worked. Thanks for the info.
