still leaking a bit from the transmission, this time i dont think it is the pan, i think the new pan i got solved that as i think the PO warped the old one...

this time i think it is coming from the front of the trans somewhere...it is dripping off the front pan bolts, but the back of the pan (lower) is not wet with oil...

here is the kicker, it seems that after longer, hotter drives, it leaks out more after parking, vs shorter in town trips i will only find the size of a small coin...

is there anything at the front of the trans to check? my wife has it in portland now but is coming back tomorrow, she and her dad noticed the large spot and added oil to it.

any ideas?

The electrical plugs (sensors?) that plug into the sides of where the pan lives, but just above the pan... someone told me that those can seep/leak too. Wonder if maybe it's that?

Going for the less time/money consuming options.

ok well i crawled under and it is definitely not the pan gasket!, the only spot i saw with some seeping is the line pressure sensor, which is seeping and then running down on to the passenger side rear most pan bolt, but you can tell it is coming from the sensor...

two questions.

1) i assume the line pressure sensor uses an o ring right?

2) when i take out the sensor to replace whatever seal is behind it, will it spew fluid until it has drained below that level?

getting a new line pressure sensor from carquest 63$ 6yr warranty, not only are the o rings flattened out on my old sensor, but the old one has a cracked/bent tip that i think is letting trans fluid (under pressure) get past the first o ring... so hopefully this will take care of the last leak

just as another side note
the trans was shifting odd with the new sensor, i think it had learned some bad habits with the old line pressure sensor that had the crack.
i reset the computer by disconnecting the battery, shifts much better now. first seems firmer as well.

Just a little tid-bit of info......whenever I need an odd ball size O-ring, for whatever, whether it's for a hydraulic line.....coolant line....air (turbo) oil feed line.....which ever, I always take the old O-ring (or part) down to a local agricultural parts dealer.....they seem to have all kinds of mechanical associated parts which also work on cars at a fraction of the price of auto parts dealers.
