silicon on bushings?

Had some squeaking in the front so I sprayed my swaybar bushings with silicon and it made the squeak worse. Does this mean they need replaced? Visually, the look fine!

did you use white lithium grease? any other lubricant will make it worse. I would clean it all out and pressure wash the old lube out and fill them with white lithium grease, rather then putting lube on lube
