Security Indicator Light

Hi all, puzzling problem. Alarm went off (siren but no lights, oddly).and now the security indicator light is on permanently. Car runs fine, just annoying. Can't fine any way to turn it off, any suggestions?

So the security system is allowing the engine to run? One possibility is a problem with the Wireless Control Unit, which would be expensive. No issues with keyless entry or TPM? All that is part of the WCU.

All works fine! Remote key lock, starting and running... Just the light on! Odd

I have the same with a 2004 2.8 CRD uk version, it came on while I was working on the jeep with the battery being disconnected a few times, for a while it went off when I disconnected the battery for a short time but the alarm would bleep when you opened the doors or started the engine 24 hours later it went back to just the red led on all the time.

Odd!
My old 2.5Crd would occasionally not see the key transponder but that would immobilise it after a few seconds.

Any further thoughts?

I'd guess it's seeing a fault with the security system, it would need plugging into a scanner that can read modules.
