Renegade roof basket... problem?

I was under the impression the Rene roof basket was supposed to sit flush on the roof. Mine doesn't seem to do that. help anyone?

It doesn't sit on the roof (except at the very front).

If it did touch the roof, it would destroy the paint. Another thing it would
do if it were touching is accelerate the accumulation of debris that the basket catches and block drainage.

In the fall, mine gets full of leaves and twigs and I have to climb up and clean out. In the winter it fills with snow and ice.

From your pics, it looks normal. Remove it a few times a year to give the roof a good scrubbing and wax job.

The rack sits off the roof by about 3/16ths of an inch. Which is correct.
