I'm new to this forum and have been searching previous posts but I can't find any info on use of rear bumper guards. I know that Waag has a bumper guard but I'm not sure if the pic they show will be similar to what I would buy. Based on the pic, part of the guard would block the license plate.

Anybody use the waag or any other brand?

I just purchased a 2002 Renegade. I have a brush guard in the front and now want to install a rear guard to protect the bumper from idiots that park behind me.

I've also been looking into some rear tail lamp guards. Mopars lamp guards are plastic. Feels kinda fragile. Anybody make metal ones that are easy to put on?

I'm a newbie so please try not to flame....

Welcome to the site.

I am not sure if you looked at the right guard, but front does not cover the licence plate at all, sort of like frame it top and bottom, it looks good.

as for the rear, it does not even go near the plate.

There were a few metal ones out there, but I didn't like the way they look (kind of tilted to the side) but if all you want is functionality they do the job.

Good luck and let us know if you end up buying waag. I totally hear you with your complaint about those who park behind you and nudge it a little.
