I bought a 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited v6 used a few months back. While working on installing a front hitch reciever, I discovered this disconnected wire wrapped up under the car. As far as I can tell it's the same wiring for the trailer plug in, when I purchased it I assumed it was just part of that set up, until I saw the wires disconnect. As it runs up through the engine bay where I can't follow without taking things apart, do you guys have any idea what this might be for?

The previous owner said this was his hunting vehicle, so I'm wondering if it might be for a winch? But I can't find any evidence the car ever had one.

Ha, I can almost guarantee it wasn't that. I very much got an old school practical vibe from the guy.

Cant imagine the rear hitch wiring goes to the front sway bar, but Ive seen more insane things...

It would make the most sense for the wiring around the front sway bar to be for towing the liberty....
