Hi,

PLEASE HELP!!!
I had Jeep KJ (2005 3.7L) 48000km service at ARB two weeks ago. Before 48000km car service, my fuel consumption was 16.0L/100k.
After the 48000km car service at ARB, my fuel consumption is 17.3L/100k now and it seems still going up.
(I used to have my 12000,24000,36000 car service at Jeep dealer previously.)

Can anyone advise if I don't have car service at Jeep, would this increase my fuel consumption? Could it be possible that the oil or parts that ARB used are different from Jeep dealer (Mopar parts or oil) when doing car service, and this would also change the fuel consumption?

Or otherwise, any idea what leads to my fuel consumption increase so suddenly? (Aeh) (Aeh) (Aeh)

but my bullbar was already fitted when first deliver from Jeep dealer. and the fuel consumption was changed after I had car service with ARB other than Jeep service centre.

not a huge change is it, could be a thicker oil they used. Give it a couple runs before you panic. There are a lot of variable (Mainly your right foot) but do your normal days drives for a while and see how it shakes out.

Doesn't make sence. What exactly did they do?

Maby the service coincided with the switchover to "winter gas" which can affect mileage.

No idea, I think they just follow the Jeep service book to carry out the 48000 km service. I am just thinking would it be the brand of oil/parts they use is different from Mopar? or the parts they replaced are new and it may takes time to run-in before the fuel consumption back to previous state?

What does your owners manual call for at the 48,000km service. If it calls for a tune up, that very well could be the problem if they used cheap spark plugs or didn't gap them properly.
