Knocking sound when accelerating 02 liberty

So yesterday, I was on my way home from work when all of a sudden, a knocking sound started. It isn't very noticeable until the 2000-3000rpm range and mostly when accelerating. Also happens in neutral when I give it gas. I don't notice any power loss, and the check engine light is not on. Anyone with a similar experience? Suggestions on what it might be?

If you ever overheated it that coukd be something. Try running some marvel mystery oil in your engine oil. Helps me quite her down.

I had a similar experience, the rod bearings were wiped out at 75K miles while the rest of the engine was fine. Replacement engine and install was about $4000.

Spark knock? Started doing it on my Harley. Put some 104+ octane boost in the gas and it went away. Just the combustion taking place too early. Long shot
