Hello,
I just checked the MIL on my 2007 Liberty and I got a P0071 code, ambient Air Temperature Sensor Performance. Where is this sensor located, how do I replace it, and where can I obtain a replacement part? Thanks for the help!

It is located behind the grill, in front of the rad and has electrical connector to it.
It can take up to several minutes to read if the battery has been disconnected etc, so I would recommend that you clear the code, and see if it re-appears.
A dealer part is available, but there is a complete test available for it though the factory service manual procedure/instructions. 8M-14 04 FSM.

second time

This is the second time this code has appeared, so I figured it was time to replace the sensor.

Use Compressed air to blow it out, some contact cleaner spray, then dielectric on outside of electrical contacts, where the two plastic snaps join... to keep water out.

Great, Thanks for the Info.. Are the aftermarket sensors any good, or should I stick with the dealer part?
