Hard start, smoke, click, fine.

Hi everyone, I'm new here and first of all I would like to say hello to all members. I have a 2.8 CRD Liberty 2005, and this is my first winter with it. I noticed one very interesting thing about my vehicle: When I want to start it cold, it started hard, it has a lot of smoke from the exhaust (very stinky and irritating for the eyes) and after few minutes, I can hear something like "click", then engine sound changed and it stopped smoking... Otherwise, I do not have any problem on the road, no smoke, runs great... Sorry if my english is not perfect

Do you know what can it be? Thanks in advance.

Your english is great!

You might have a sticking injector or water in the fuel that froze inside an injector holding it open until it warms up enough to melt.
