get the check engine light to go off, '05

I was in a major hurry today and was flying down the road and my kj shut off at 105 i know goin fast bein stupid but i didn't realize it was shutting off and i kept my foot in it well when i did realize it maybe 3 seconds after it actually happened i let off and the check engine light came on and i really don't think i would've hurt anything i think its probably just a cation thing and when i bought my kj it had been repo'd so i didn't get an owners manual so i was wondering if anyone had any experience with this or could tell me how the owners manual says to clear the light being on?

You might want to run it by AutoZone and get the code read just to make sure nothing is wrong. They can reset the code too.

The light will go off after a few key cycles but it will retain the information. Mine came on when I hit 118 and ti shut down. Forget what code it throughts but it just means the engine isnt responding... hmm I wonder why????

Just stop at autozone of somepalce and have them clear the codes.

haha, I think your mind is still going 105mph!! Slow down some and use commas&periods!

It limiting you to 105mph is ok although I thought it was higher(110?). Go to a parts store(Advance Auto parts, autozone, etc) and ask them if they will pull the codes since your check engine light is on. The owners manual does not tell you how to fix the Jeep, only how to use it and take care of it.

haha thanks for the info it didn't come back on this morning and ill run by autozone sometime but im not concerned witht .'s and ,'s lol
