I purchased a fuel pump for my 2004 Liberty and when I pulled out the old pump I discovered that the wiring connector was a two wire connector and the new unit was a four wire connector. I started searching for pumps again but this time paying attention to the connector and can’t find a pump with this two wire plug. Has anyone run into this problem and how did you fix it? Thanks

I solved the problem. I replaced the new pumps connector with the old pump connector and I used the old sending unit on the new pump. This way the new pump had the proper wire connectors. I had to cut an opening under the rug just above the fuel tank with a rotary tool (there wasn’t a hatch like in other models)
