Hi Everyone,

I picked up an '07 Sport recently, but have realised there are no towing eyes fitted. Seeing them requested frequently in the parts section, I guess these are not standard fit? Seems odd for the type of vehicle - all my non off road cars have had them standard. I do need them for some Desert driving out here.

So, do I have to buy Jeep towing eyes as a (presume expensive) spare part - if so, I see there is the towing eye, some mounting plate or other - exactly what is needed? Can anyone who has bought these enlighten me? FYI the dealer here in Qatar is pretty basic, so it's not so much go in and have a chat, as go in and get immediately frustrated.

Are there any after market options available that anyone knows of?

Cheers,

Ian

From all the research I've done (because I want hooks SOOOO badly), the front 2 hooks come out to about $100 and the rear hook (not tow hitch) comes to about $90.

Tow Hooks - Jeep Liberty - Item # 82206124 & 82206125

I was looking it buying these...

Thanks for the tip - I've just ordered the front and rears from there. I'll let you know how I get on (looks very simple from the fitting instructions).

Yeah they should be simple. It's the OEM part (not to mention the ONLY tow hooks made for the Liberty).

Good luck!!

It's a real help, I was expecting to have to list all the part numbers from the parts manual and battle it out bit by bit here. There's no dealer knowledge to assist with stuff like this to make sure you get it right.

Just do a search in eBay for jeep liberty front tow hooks. I got mine for about $100 new on there. OEM too

IMO i wouldn't bother buying the rear tow hook. I bought hitch for $60 dollars more and have a lot more flexibility with it. example I can use either a hook or Dlink attachment.
