early summer outing in British Columbia?

Since there is no Jeep Jamboree this year in Canada:
-is anybody interested in a Jeep outing in British Columbia?
-how about early summer, before the tourists flocking to the campgrounds
(June 8/9/10 or June 15/16/17 '2007)?

for example:
-couple years ago I went to Tyax Mountain resort(southern Chilcotin),
perfectly suited for families as well:main lodge with guest rooms,cabins and
campground right beside the lake(canoes,horseback riding,ATV's)

or other suggestions:?

Yep, im going to Calgary then. That is already a long drive from here... im not going to spend 500-600 in gas alone going to both.. maybe a later date, or different location?

I checked the thread on the lostkj. Indeed there are a few more interested BC KJ owners around. Let's spread the word(maybe as well at our local Jeep dealership).
Would be nice to have 'all' around.

8,9,10 .... or .... 15,16,17



Perhaps we meet in Vancouver and go on the road trip together.
(Tyax at Tyaughton Lake via Hurly River FSR)

Or, as said in the PM, if only a small participation then Okanagan would be fine too.

Ooops I just saw June 15,16,17 as possible dates. I will be in Pomona, Ca for the L.A. Roadster show and maybe a side trip to All J again this year for some goodies on that weekend so I will have to pass on this one but maybe next time

I agree that something needs to be set up. I am not just going to show up, after hearing that people are probably going to show up, then they don't.

Its a long drive for anyone, and with no organization, no one will show up.

I am up for this as stated before for the 15-16-17th. If you live in BC and plan on attending, then post here. Using the PM function at this time is not working... we all need to talk in one and find out who really is coming.

(from the LOST KJ site I got only one fellow who is interested, but he can't take time off at this time)

The date we are going for the meet is the 15,16,17th June in the Okanagan
(near Kelowna/APEX ski resort).

Please,...BC'ers reply with a 'yes' or 'no' so we can arrange the meeting point.

BC summer camping

Well I thought I give it a try. There are a few BC'er around on both sites(Jeep KJ and Lost KJ). Maybe the notice was too short for everybody to commit to it. Let's see if there is more interest at an later date(fall).
