I have a 2005 Liberty (3.7L) that was originally 4WD but the previous owner swapped it to 2WD. Ever since, it’s been an electrical nightmare. Fixed a ton, but still battling random charging/no-start issues. Anyone else had gremlins after a swap like this?

I am super stubborn and refuse to give up on this vehicle, it’s the toxic relationship I need in my life.

So he took out the front differential and driveline? If so, no idea why that would cause electrical issues.

I wonder if it was an electrical nightmare before he switched it? How did they do the conversion-By swapping the trans or just removing the transfer case and bolting a tail on there?

I wish my Liberty was a 2wd version......It's a RHD "Mail Jeep" and for maintenance sake I'd appreciate the simplicity a little.
