Does anyone know roughly the weight of the 3.7 with all accessories attached? This has been asked before but never actually answered.

I need to know so I can get some equipment to move a couple and I don't have scales for things above 300lb.

My ford 302 engine years back was only 487lbs but answers to this question have stated figures as much as 800lbs which make absolutely no sense.

I can't find it right now but one of the v8 swap threads that has popped up recently has this info in it

I was reading that engine swap thread & if memory serves I believe it was stated in that thread the 3.7 weighs something like 380 & the 4.7 weighs something like 420 . Don't quote me on that though .

I think this was the thread - Jeep Liberty V8 Swap Megathread

I believed it's between 350-400 pounds. Most places quote freight for around 500 on a bare engine. That's estimating on the safe side.

Edited to say 350-400, definitely not a lightweight 300 pound motor
