235/75/16's Rub or Not

235/75/16 tires should be about 29.8" in diameter, looks like they should fit a stock Liberty without rubbing. Has any one tried them?

I have 235/70/16 on mine, which is the stock size from the factory...You should not have any problems going to a 75.

Maybe they will fit. I only say that because I ran 245/70/16's on stock. Those are 29.5 inches in diameter and I had a tiny rubbing at full lock, going backwards.

The 235/75/16 tires is about .35 inches bigger in diameter (29.89) which could lead you into a more rub problem.

Your diameter difference from stock with the 235/75/16's are just over 3% larger where as the 245/70/16's were just under 2% larger. So take it as that with numbers. I would assume you would not need to do fender trimming or anything but you may acquire more rub with that size than if you went with a 245/70/16 tire.

I am running the p235/75/R16's and I have just enough room not to rub underneath the wheel well when flexed.

I have been looking for tires in the size 235/75-16 but not been able to find them here in Europe.
Who are manufacturing them, and are we talking about AT's only, or also MT's?
