Hey all,

New to this forum, but I have a 2003 Jeep Libert with approx 140k KM on it. I was doing some shopping yesterday, and came out to start it, and it wouldn't start right away. Had a faulty start, but eventually turned over. It was then running rough, and chugging a bit. My error light came on, and I received the code P0320. Checked it out, and saw that had to do with the crankshaft.

I took it in to the Jeep dealership today to get it looked at, and they just told me that the 2nd, 4th and 6th cylinders aren't firing properly, and the truck is spitting out a few different error codes. They weren't sure what exactly was the reasoning behind it, but mentioned that a possibility may be that my on board computer was shot?

Any ideas as to what is behind this?

Thanks ahead of time, its greatly appreciated

Southeast of disorder...
Looks like it might be your crankshaft position sensor:

P0320 (M) No Crank Reference Signal at PCM
No reference signal (crankshaft position sensor) detected during engine cranking.

Looking at the FSM it doesn't look like it would be to difficult to replace it, just need to verify if it is the cause of the problem.

Hmm..

-P0320 No RPM Signal To PCM

-P0320
Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit

Might could try another dealer since that one doesnt seem to know whats going on. PCM is a pretty expensive place to start if they want to just replace stuff. Sounds like they were guessing.

Could be a crank sensor... They are kinda inexpensive to replace and do go bad...

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
If your not getting a "reference" signal, which is the PCM's job to send that signal, then you may have a bad PCM.

But 90% of the time OBDII code P0320 is a bad crank sensor, but not all the time.
