well to my suprise (and the parts guy was suprised too) the KK cv's are 160$ each + 80 for the little shaft inside the diff on the passenger side and thats canadian prices  so + taxes it came about 450$ cnd for the whole kit. not too bad but still Id rather have that money in my pocket...
mine does that too. its true that the kk comes standard with a left heavy driver and gas tank but I think the front sway bar is to blame here. I cranked my left springs more than the right ones and it still lean to the left even with a empty gas tank and no one inside
mine came with select track 2 and trail rated badge. I guess all the select track 2 you saw where on fully loaded limited witch are not trail rated because of the 18'' wheels
some one got 245 75/16 on his KK stock but I think they rub when offroad
rock lizard and jeepin by al sell a lot of stuff for the kj and they are starting to have some stuff for the kk too
I went wheeling last weekend on some trails I never saw first. The guys I was with asked for 31''+ tires. Im on 29.5'' with no lift but I could go because I have over 400# of armor under my jeep and I can tell you they were not a luxury. Just to tell you that skids dont cost much and will make...
the select track on the kk is not the same as the kj. you cant put it in 4wd part time on the kk select track and it use a clutch pack instead of a center diff. I have the select track on mine and It seems like it stays locked until you make a turn. I can hear it click when I drive in 4wd hi...
cksa12 = small and light duty for lockers only
ckma12 = bigger and heavy duty for lockers + tire inflation for you and your buddies
rdcka is the old model and is getting replaced by the ckma12 witch has a better motor and twice the cfm. I dont recommend buying the rdcka unless you have...
They do look awsome with that agressive tread but I daly drive 600+ miles a week so noise can be a big problem :( anyway I still have until next summer to make a choice. I might get toyo's mt or BFG km2. They are supposed to be pretty quiet but I never listened to any mt tire
The KK front diff use the same gears as the JK dana 30. Both the jk D30 and KK D30 use new gears so nothing else will fit but aftermarket companies already sell jk gears all ratio up to 5.13
I disagree.
While its true that a DTT will be easier to turn than an arb, it is far from being very, very difficult unless you are on dry pavement in witch case you dont need locker anyway. I have tested my front arb and I can stay locked and turn the wheels with one finger on dirt road ...
