my wife is getting around 18, mostly country roads, not quite highway but not quite city - and she is still getting used to it. This is with a 5 speed manual. I can only assume, when shifted properly, the 6 speed could do better.
Those sentry key things are annoying as hell, and easier to bypass then the factory key system.
Keep in mind, if someone wants to steal your car, it's gone no matter what.
But.. that said, if you want a blinky light

Which blew my mind when I first saw that, since I had a set of Pirelli Scorpion ATRs on my Wrangler when I bought it (brand new tires from the dealer) and they absolutely SUCKED. I would go careening around corners in even the mildest rain. They hardly even bit any traction in the snow. I took...
in a straight stretch I might say the auto could win the race, since it's totally mindless and you just need to put your foot on the floor to make it go. no need to shift or think about shift points and such, no clutch delay.
Where the manual shines is when you have to do things like take...
I dunno, our 5 speed hauls along pretty good, even from a dead start. An auto may be able to pull away while I'm in first, but once I smack it into second she takes right off, third, even more so.
perhaps you ahve the 6 speed and the ratios have changed dramatically? not sure.
Check your owners manual, I believe the tow capacity of your vehicle is near 5000 pounds.
That said, I would certainly consider the terrain in which you are going to be towing. If you are going to be going up alot of hills, or any really big hills, you might want to add a transmission cooler...
you won't find a car magazine or other type magazine, review or website that says good things about ANY Jeep. They are too rough and truck-like for these people that are used to test driving CARS or CAR-BASED "SUVs"
You should see how badly these rags tear apart Jeep Wranglers. Come on, there...
I'm waiting for my seller to get me the title for my KJ now, from Chrysler Financial. Apparently, it's been nothing but a headache for him. They told him that if he sends a check for what he owes, they will overnight the title the next day.
2 weeks later, still no title. According to the next...
Just look underneath rav4 and the Liberty, and you'll know which one is a stronger vehicle.
Sure Liberty is in the same size class as Rav4, CRV, and others - but to compare a Jeep vehicle to any of these "car based" vehicles is almost not even fair to the competition.
The Liberty is all...
thanks for the posts guys. Looks like some of them fit perfectly, while others don't fit so well, based on the bezel that comes with the stereo. I'm looking at this one:

Sweet deal. We played with it at Circuit...
I had a basslink in my Wrangler, and it sounded REALLY good. I expected just a little bit of lower end boost out of it, but it was much more than I expected. Unfortunatley, it got stolen, but thats what I get for leaving the top down all the time.
Good to know the 2007's are still making the same noise, and somebody else noticed it.
Read my recent thread:

The 2004 we just bought sounds like this. So did 3 2003's that we test drove. But ONLY the manual transmission models. The auto's...
Anyone have any luck freeing a stuck CD from the factory CD player? This is the single disc CD player, not the changer.
I don't care so much if I have to trash the CD to get it out, but if I have to pay the dealer to do it, I might as well just buy an aftermarket head unit.
