    What is this part number?

I cracked the clear plastic cover that sits in the gear shift console area. Is there a part number for this or can I even get this part anymore? It is not a critical item but thought if I cud pick one up it would be nice. It is where item number 1 is pointing (not the entire shifter but just...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Blend Door Update: 5.5 years ago I bought my 2003 with 94000 miles on it. I replaced the blend door actuator because the OEM was flakey. This worked somewhat with some small issues until March. I could only get hot air no matter what I turned on the cold/hot temp setting. I decided to get...

    Took a chance on a 2002

Check the PVC system hard plastic tubes and PVC itself. Are all of the Coils the same vendor? Any OEM? I bought a 2003 5 years ago (nov 2020 with 94K miles) and eventually replaced all the coils with OEM along with the plugs. I did the plugs once before I did plugs and coils. All of the OEM...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I will keep an eye on it for now. The wiring is in a bundle and the connector is fine. It cud be that the sensor itself is on the fringes of going bad. Maybe pick up another OEM sensor used or new and give it a go.

What did you do to your jeep today?

The code from my obdii inova reader was 0065 - right front impact sensor internal diagnostics. So i ordered one which is the same as the left side. There was no P or U precursor to the 0065.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I have been getting a 0065 code - on and off - for awhile on my 2003 Libby 45RFE. It wud come and go and i wud get the airbag light. The light wud go out the next stop/start. So I decided last week to buy a new impact sensor. The image was of a new mopar unit. The price seemed realistic...

    HVAC Knobs Cracked

I did find it at mopargiant.com website for $165. Dorman makes one for about same if you send in your core. I replaced mine 5 years ago with a mopar unit when i bought my used 2003 Libby.

New to owning a jeep. Transmission problems! 2003 Libby w/45rfe

Can you provide any more info about mileage or? Does it run in O/D? Maybe start by replacing the fluid using the recommended synthetic and both trans filters. Just replace all fluids first as well. Any leaks you can see? More info might be helpful.

05 KJ Cold Air Except Recirc

I do not know if this will help or is related to your problem but here is something that I did when I got my 2003 Libby V6 Limited 5 years ago. I had weird issues with the hot or cold air blowing when it should not. I replaced the blend door actuator and the resistor. At the time I was doing...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Hi there. In my posting I was referring to the OEM lug nuts losing their caps such that I had 19mm original size lug nuts and 17mm size lugs nuts because the caps were falling off. I finally just replaced all of my lug nuts with the new aftermarket one piece 19mm lug nuts.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Okay, not a big deal but I replaced all OEM lug nuts. Got tired of carrying two different size lug wrenches and using two different size compact sockets. Small but effective fix.

    Antilock Braking System (ABS) issue

I bought my 2003 and it always had an ABS light pop up once it awhile and it would go away after a drive or it would come one while driving and then would go away during the drive. In addition when I would back out of the garage I would get squeeks and metal grinding noise. Peridoically I...

New Brake Rotors and PAD's all around

Possibly corrected dash light alarms. When I bought the Jeep in Nov 2020 I always had a periodic ABS yellow light pop up. It would come and go and I would continue to drive. When I backed out I would always get a scratching metal to metal grinding as if the brake pads were down to metal. But...

    Did i find a gem?

What year is it? I have never seen a "european" version. I like the spare tire holder. And you got those small lights on the rear bumper. Nice!

New Brake Rotors and PAD's all around

I figure I would give an update on my decision and results of the installation. I decided on the Raybestos Element 3 package - rotors and blended pads. My old rotors were the originals since installed in 2002. The shims cud have been the originals because they were embedded on the metal. The...

New Brake Rotors and PAD's all around

I bought the Liberty in Nov 2020 with 94000 miles on it. It was a trade in at a volvo dealership. The best I can tell is that the person that bought it in Washington State in Nov 2002 and then brought it to VA and had its first 3500 mile oil change. Then they used the vehicle sparingly around...

New Brake Rotors and PAD's all around

I posted about 1500 miles last weekend thru Appalachia and Liberty did just fine. Climbed hills with ease and passed others without a sweat. I did notice that the front brakes did throb a little bit when applied. I have 118000 miles on my 2003 with the 45RFE (tr)anny and 3.7 engine. The...

Spare tire carrier without under brackets

The tire carrier is rated at 50lbs max and without those “rotted” pieces of metal the weight of the tire and bracket will bounce against the tailgate and dent it. Suggestion: go to Home Depot and look for Simpson straps or similar in the building materials area and use them. They are...
