    Front diff seal?

Posted this in the KK forum by accident so I reposting here....... Hi all, I was wondering how difficult is it to change the front pinion seal on a 03 sport, it has been leaking for a long time and i think there is no to little oil in the diff. It was getting noisy at 35mph plus during winter...

Tire question - Ironman All Country

My wife's KJ has the Ironman 235/70/16 on her rig, they came with it and are like brand new. Really nice deep tread and they ride nice and smoothe with hardly no road noise. She has no lift and no regearing.all stock and far as I am concerned 10 ply has no effect on gas milage that is worth...

    wheel skins ??

I have those on my steel rims and they fit good and tight with no rattles. My rims were crappy looking with light rust and patchy paint and it was a quick fix. They don't stick out and are still tight at 70 plus MPH, these are now my spare wheels as I have Cherokee rims now.

For all you bling haters, a few upgrades

It is true that I do not know all the mounting points on a ARB bumper but thanks for informing this ''Nerb''on that, I know that the geometry of the two types are different on their impact angles, the brush guard will swing and fold and the ARB will try to push straight in. The idea of the...

For all you bling haters, a few upgrades

Well after fitting the brush guard I was surprised at how solid it felt, it is mounted on 1/4'' steel plates with 3 x 5/8'' bolts per side and is made from 1/4'' stainless steel upright plates and 1 1/2'' stainless steel tubing. Yes I have heard about how much more damage they are supposed to...

For all you bling haters, a few upgrades

I do not do trails much, mostly town driving and snow during Winter so I thought if I am going to own a Jeep I may as well look pretty in the process.

Replacing a front cross member on a 03 liberty sport

Thank you, it was a learning curve for sure but the results was good. I still have one more bit to add to this 'HOW TO" to finish it off which I will do right now. The last item is the grill, it and the insert did not fit with out a fight. The grill had tabs all over it that is not factory and...

Replacing a front cross member on a 03 liberty sport

After pushing on the flares I fitted the bumper, I thought I needed 'J' nuts and bolts for the top mount but I was wrong. After looking at my wifes 04 the top of the bumper is held in place by 6 push in plugs, I went with a bit bigger size then factory but had to drill out the holes slightly...

Replacing a front cross member on a 03 liberty sport

Today I went ahead to finish the bumper install. I took it back off and thought I would get some pics of the finer details I did. I put 2 nut and bolts in the little spoiler for added strength plus a screw in the fog light /grill instead of a rivet. Pic also of that screw and nut I did in the...

Replacing a front cross member on a 03 liberty sport

Remove all the pop rivets holding on the spoiler/air dam on the old bumper, they are not plastic, they were aluminum and you have to drill them out. Also if you don't have fog lights like me then drill out the rivets holding the fog light/air vent grills. I then pop rivet the bumper energy...

Replacing a front cross member on a 03 liberty sport

Time to wire brush all the welds and put some paint on them, there was no need to grind the welds as it is all hidden behind the bumper and left them way they were for extra strength. I thought the hard part was all done and just need to reinstall all the new parts on...HA! it was not a...

Replacing a front cross member on a 03 liberty sport

All there was left at this stage was the bottom of the frame rails which I left last because I was not looking forward to drilling them out lying on my back. And the after math. Test fitting the new cross member after grinding all the spot welds and slotted welds with a flapper disc on the...

Replacing a front cross member on a 03 liberty sport

Hi every one, I just brought this Libby and it had front end damage (price was cheap) it drove good and every thing worked, frame rails looked OK and coolers in front were OK, so I thought I would do a 'HOW TO' to replace the front cross member and hopefully it will help others who have the same...

Evic Install in a 03 Liberty Sport 3.7

Next it was the wiring splicing to the OB11 plug wires, take out the the 2 Philips screws holding the plug, it does not pull out far from the dash which makes it a little more awkward for room to splice the wires but still doable. Find the correct colors that you need that correspond with the...

Evic Install in a 03 Liberty Sport 3.7

Here is the pic of the mount. Since my wiring loom was done I want to install that. First remove the plugs in your 'A' pillar and remove the 2 T20 torque screws, remove the the 2 philips screws from the drivers side sun visor and pull out the end holder, I was not sure how that came out but I...

Evic Install in a 03 Liberty Sport 3.7

Hi everyone, I know this has been covered many times before but after coming across this install in this How To section I realized that most of the links did not work and none of the pics showed any more. In my books a pic is worth a thousand words so after reading between the lines of all these...

    removing front crossmember

It's not so much what you saw but what you drill, the front cross member is held in place by a couple of dozen spot welds onto the front frame rails. If you are at a salvage yard and they let you then, yeah you can saw it off the frame rails and remove the spot welds later when you get home. I...
