Okay cool well I sure hope you find the issue . The PCM ( like the brain) is from what I seen is fairly easy and fairly cheap disconnect the battery, unplug the old, plug in new, wait about 10 minutes then reconnect the battery.

Well if it's a money pit then maybe time to replace the money pit with something else. I had a pick-up that was like that, every time turned around had to buy something for it.

I've not had that issue yet my 07 just replaced fuel pump. Sounds like an air/ fuel mixture issue, like other post maybe a sensor. Sorry not much help there
