Misfire mystery with my 2005 Jeep Liberty

Yeah not only were all new ignition coils installed, I've already swapped them to different cylinders and still have P0306. I've asked all the mechanics to measure the primary and secondary voltage of the coils and they all said, they don't do that as "it's not necessary", this includes the...

Misfire mystery with my 2005 Jeep Liberty

Hello! First off, i'm sorry if I am posting in the wrong area. I have a 2005 Jeep liberty Renegade and it's been a great vehicle until recent. I'm getting P0306 CEL and at a loss on how to proceed. I've done all the scheduled maintenance on this vehicle since ~65,000 miles on the odometer and...

    Ignition coil connector/plug

Yeah I cleared the codes with my cheap scanner tool and the pending code came back on like my 4th drive today (I reset it and it hasn't shown back up...yet). The idle is much more smooth now and I just changed the plugs about 5k miles ago. The pending code has popped back up twice today with...

    Ignition coil connector/plug

So today I changed the ignition coil and checked the plug on cylinder #6 and the plug was perfect. Put it all back together and the rough idle is gone. I forgot how smooth the idle was. I drove it around pretty hard as it's been a few weeks with the p0306 and my thinking was the cylinder...

    Ignition coil connector/plug

What is the difference between p0306 and p0306 (p). the only difference that I can tell is that p0306 will cause the CEL to turn on and the p0306 (p) is a pending code but with no CEL. What conditions differentiate the 2 codes?

    Ignition coil connector/plug

Ya I wasn't sure if I have to get the plug already pinned and solider in but snipping the wire or your suggested method. Is it possible to pull the 2 wires out from the connector?

    Ignition coil connector/plug

Hello, I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty 3.7L and was changing out my ignition coils because they are the original ones and I'm dealing with p0306 right now. When I got to cylinder 6, I noticed that the plug that goes to the coil didn't have the same resistance or feeling as the other ones, it...

2005 KJ 3.7 Rene with poor MPG

Glad to see you responded in my thread as I always look for your post when I'm looking for information. I'll throw it away and go back to using a paper filter. Really think my internals could be bad? My oil doesn't even get black before I change it.

2005 KJ 3.7 Rene with poor MPG

I've gone wheeling but every oil change I always take the filter out and it's just as red as the day I got it and I always smack it on the driveway to knock out the debris. Well, the highest octane we have here in Arizona USA is only 91 octane. Also, our owner's manual states to only use...

2005 KJ 3.7 Rene with poor MPG

Before you type in get a car if you are concerned about MPG hear me out. When I first got my KJ I was getting about 18-21 MPG and that was fantastic for me. Lately, I've been getting about 13-15 MPG. I have always done the recommended maintenance items like diff fluid, t-case fluid, tranny...
