The Boss has built in amps. If you have the KJ Limited Infinity system, and want to use the Boss's built in amps, you need to wire the speakers directly. Otherwise, if you want to use the OEM Infinity amps on the doors, you need to connect the Boss's pre-outs to the OEM speaker connector wires.- nbas

Really bad sound, is it the transmission?
I have the same exact issue! I think it is the valve solenoid pack but it has to be checked. The engine lamp went on and I checked with my OBD scanner. Calibrate Speedo AGAIN AFTER I Regear?

NEED 4.56 RING AND PINION FOR MY KJ
Max you can go is 4.10 for the KJ. You can take a used one from the 2.4L, or Spicer D30 Super 4.10 R&P, (D30KJ-410LIB-OE). I went with the first route since I had to import the Spicer from US (customs, transport expenses, etc...)- nbas
