Replaced the lower hose, t-stat, and t-stat housing. Finally got to use that dusty old gallon of G-5.

I didn't realize my cobalt drill bits were so dull. I just went out and bought a new set of Milwaukees instead of sharpening them...made the job much easier. I needed some fill-ins anyway.

This must be a thing...I just broke off the lower housing bolt too. Drilling it out is gonna be a b@#*#.

Just curious...would a flex fan be an option for a Liberty? Mine's been driving around the desert all it's life with only the electric fan, and I was wondering maybe a little extra help would be in order in it's old age. I don't like clutch fans much. Maybe I should just leave it alone and save...

Mine just has the electric fan and shroud. Looks like the job would be lots easier with it out.

That's my plan, including the new housing. Just wanted to see if I could keep it from making a mess before I started the project. Got a gift certificate from Amazon so I'll probably get the parts from there. BTW...does the shroud and fan have to come out for this job?

Grrrrr....woke up this morning and found my T-stat housing is leaking. Gonna try to re-torque first.

Don't know. They just said they've been installing Champs since '06. Might expand my horizons on the next change and use the NGK's.

Nope. Copper Plus RC10MCC. The previous owner used them since the Jeep was new. What NGK's are you using?

My '04 loves those basic cheapo Champions. I have to change 'em more often than the higher end plugs...but the performance is worth it.

It's been a while since I've messed with EVICS....but if I recall correctly....if your EVIC has the TPMS option, not installing the wheel sensors will result in a very annoying chime and a display that constantly reminds you of a "bad or missing sensor".
