03 Liberty serpentine belt length and a/c pulley questions

The WD-40 was enough to get the belt spinning with the pulley with the A/C off. Though the bearings we're rattling around and it was a bit noisy. We got it to the shop easily 2 miles up the road. They quoted me $584 for new compressor and belt, which I thought was very reasonable, right? They...

03 Liberty serpentine belt length and a/c pulley questions

The belt size discrepancy has me all confused! I'm finding multiple searches that say the K060919 is for the 03 jeep liberty but was way too big, I've seen info in the posts you link saying 87" which maybe would have worked, I see people using multiple sizes for the bypassing, so I guess it's...

03 Liberty serpentine belt length and a/c pulley questions

Hi! So my daughter's 03 Jeep Liberty busted a serpentine belt. The A/C went out first and was making rattling noises (which she didn't tell me and kept driving it anyway :emotions34:) and then when she was 35 miles away she went to start it at a gas station and it started smoking (belt blew)...

03 Liberty Sport fuel pump 35-40 psi /running lean...

What are you suggesting? You say the fuel pressure needs to be fixed first, they are suggesting the fuel pump is the fuel pressure issue.

03 Liberty Sport fuel pump 35-40 psi /running lean...

Thanks guys. I picked it up, I don't want to rush into fixing anything (like I did with my transmission if you look at my post from 2015) :winner_third_h4h: The paperwork says "Long term fuel trim at 33%, short term fuel trim at 3%. Measured fuel pressure between 35 and 40 PSI...

03 Liberty Sport fuel pump 35-40 psi /running lean...

Hi! I've had this issue before with my daughter's jeep. It was throwing "lean" codes for a while. I used to have a code reader to plug in, but have since misplaced it. I'm not sure if it was a coincidence, but I ran some fuel injector cleaner through the gas tank and it went away for a while...

CRAP- may have just replaced a transmission for no reason...

Thanks for that. I am beating myself up, believe me. While the responsibility falls on me ultimately, and I can accept that, the man himself said he didn't know why he didn't check before and he says he should have, he had access to the scanner. If you knew how much weight I had on me right...

CRAP- may have just replaced a transmission for no reason...

Dobbs definitely no help. So, I'm in the market for a new TCM. Any suggestions? Should I go with OEM? Aftermarket OK? Refurbished?

CRAP- may have just replaced a transmission for no reason...

So frustrated. About to call Dobbs. It's definitely the TCM. Also annoyed at this guy for not doing his own diagnosis. He's pushing it back on me a bit, because I said 'ignore the lean codes, that's been going on for a while'. A) I'm not a mechanic, don't listen to me, B) I only have a cheap...

CRAP- may have just replaced a transmission for no reason...

Well, the guy went to his main shop and used the fancy scanner. It only showed a code P0605, it's the TCM. Now I guess technically it could have been a bad transmission AND the TCM, but something tells me this whole time it was just the TCM. Will update tomorrow.

CRAP- may have just replaced a transmission for no reason...

So, here's my problem, I need some advice. Jeep ('03 4WD) has off and on been throwing running lean codes (P0171 and P0174). Tried to have it fixed multiple places but can't find an issue. I ran gas cleaner through it and it went away for a while, then came back. Then it starting showing P0300...

Sun roof drain holes, supposed to look like this?

So my '03 Liberty started leaking when it rained. I bought it in May but it HAD been pretty dry. Now that we are apparently in Monsoon season we started having a problem with water leaking in when it rains. Anyway I've been researching and looked for the drain holes, didn't see them, but saw...

New Jeep owner and bad luck... need some help

Yes, actually the CEL came on the day after I bought it from the dealership, so I brought it in, they changed some lines, changed the manifold gasket, and the light came RIGHT back on day after I got it back from them, then the accident that same afternoon. Now it's past the 30 days from the...

New Jeep owner and bad luck... need some help

Hi guys, Thanks for the feedback. I brought it to a specialty place that deals with airbag issues. They couldn't get it to communicate with their tools either. They determined the ACM just needed to be replaced. We found a used one nearby and now the airbag light is gone. I think the...

New Jeep owner and bad luck... need some help

Hi all! New here, been lurking a bit. Ok, so I bought an '03 Jeep Liberty a month ago... a week later (exactly), my teenage daughter got in an accident taking a left on a flashing yellow. She was OK, jeep was hit on the front right, right on the passenger wheel. Some suspension damage, needed a...
