One of the clutches on one of the pulleys? I heard mine making a strange noise as you describe, sent the wife under the bonnet whilst I revved and it was viscous heater clicking on and off.
Now this might just be my OCD when it comes to strange noises that 95% of other owners wouldn't notice, I spent a day trying to sort out a rattle creak noise that was driving me mad by having the wife drive up and down a rough track with me sat in the boot.
I've had the Jeep about two months...
Rolled around on the floor trying to track down the vibration I get at 60+, thought it was a missing cv boot but looks like it's a badly balanced wheel. Gave it a wash and fitted <wispers> mud flaps.
I was having a poke around underneath earlier and was looking at the drive shaft that comes out the front of the transfer box. Compared to the other joints the boot is completely different. There is something in place to stop grease coming out and crap getting in but should there be another...

The slower speeds are achieved by sending the current on longer and longer...
Mine just decided to die in the space of 2 hours. I removed the blower motor as there was a really annoying rattle when running on speed 2. Sorted that, put it all together, tested it and all was well. 2 hours later it now only works on 4:flame:
As i'm in the UK the part is $50-60...
Just happened to fit a pair of spotlights yesterday. I drilled down through the plastic top surface of the bumper and then through the top metal section of the bumper beneath the plastic. The only thing you have to be able to do is access the hole from underneath so make sure the lights are...
