Just did a little bit of research. That looks like the yoke on a Dana 35. That would make sense...but I wonder if they made the transfer case side match the rear? Edit - I actually can't find anything that would suggest the D35 has a different sized U joint. Huh.

I have a set of joints sitting here. Numbers on them are 5-1310-1X (Same size but greasable). Never needed a combination size here. That's definitely not a stock rear yoke. Interesting...

Completely agree with this. I believe the strategy for lifted KJs is set Camber, set toe, leave caster.

I'm gonna guess end links. See if you can tighten them up. Mine made lots of clunking a while back. Finally got under it and was actually able to move the end links by hand with weight on the ground!!! I couldn't tighten my bolts. I don't know what happened but they seized up pretty bad...

Those can cause a popping too. That spring had a nasty curve to it. Glad you got it fixed. Someone post the welded up spring perch! I gotta see this.

Mine also weeped (wept?) a little bit. Pretty sure it's normal. If it's not a serious leak then nothing to worry about. I often chalk very slow leaks to the fact that this thing is 15 years old...I've tried to keep up replacing bad seals and what not but I just don't have the time.

I encourage the attempt. ...but I also foresee you disappearing in the near future. That's almost always how big projects work. Ford motor swaps, sfa's, 4.7L swaps...they all start a similar thread and disappear into the wind.

For anyone else that comes by here, I'll always suggest no shock boot. Only reason is because one of mine went crooked and began rubbing the body and making lots of noise. It hasn't really bothered me since it started happening but I think the best way to avoid that happening is to remove the boot.

I run the load-levelers. They became incredibly noisy after a while. The springs make creaky metal noises. The ride is great though. Stiff. Throw some weight in the back and it feels like a whole new vehicle. Absolutely perfect. Wish I had an aftermarket rear bumper.
