Thanks for the reply. It is a 4 cyl. going 30mph and the engine quit. Tried to restart it and then coasted to a stop.

The timing belt broke when crusing down the road. What's the chance that valves are bent or not? Shop wants $450 to install new belt and water pump - then try to start the engine to look for more damage. Is this the correct path or should the head be pulled now to look for bent valves or...
