    Torque Management Request Mod

I've heard that works pretty well as a free mod, however I would go the route of a Transgo Reprogramming Kit. http://apsprecision.com/45RFE%20Shift%20Kit/45_545RFE%20Instructions.pdf They're not that expensive, and make a big difference on the 45RFE. An aggressive flash with TM delete from...

    Headers

I'm waiting for my Schedule K from the forensics company I got out of last year. I have no idea how much taxes I have to pay next month right now. I'm also putting large amounts towards the firearms collection since the last election since I don't know where that is going to end up. I'm really...

    Headers

Acutally, they don't have them. I'm planning to do before and after dyno runs when I get mine installed later this year. However, I'm also replacing the cats and probably going to 206 cams at the same time, so I won't have accurate numbers for them either.

    hood scoop

The benefit you see from a "Ram Air" is actually the cooler, denser air it is getting to the motor. The difference between a true ram air system and a true cold air system on a 3.7 KJ isn't measurable. Get up to about 160 mph, and you could get a nice 3-4% increase in power from the ram air though.

    hood scoop

Mine used to be set up like that with the K&N shield built up to seal against the hood. It really didn't make any difference. It actually works better set up with the AEM that is on it now.

    Winter driving

I couldn't be happier with the snow and ice performance of my KJ. I just put it in FT4WD and have had no problems with the last ice storm. I could even make it up my pretty steep driveway that was a solid sheet of ice. Going up and down the hill I live at the top of was no problem either and the...

Cold temperatures and a howling/buzzing noise?

The power steering pump usually howls on the KJs when it's cold outside until they warm up.

    LineX-ing Flares and lower KJ

    1. Line-X can only be done by a Line-X dealer. So on a difficulty level I would give it a 2 because it was slightly difficult to be without the KJ for a couple days. 2. Line-X is expensive. For the bumpers, flares, doors to the crease, molded mud flaps, and brush guard was about $1600 with...

    Black Altezza taillights

May have something to do with living in KY. It can be very humid here, and the temperature can swing 60 degrees in a couple days.

    Black Altezza taillights

Sorry, tried the black Altezza lights on my silver Libby years ago. No pictures. They were absolute junk. Moisture built up inside of them. They blew bulbs all the time. The wiring harness corroded terribly. Had to get 3 sets of them sent before I got a set that even worked in the first place.

bigger cams for a jeep liberty

JBA makes headers for the '04-'05. It would be a custom install for an earlier KJ, and I don't know about the newer ones. They do make a set for the Nitro with an EGR that could work. I don't know if the newer KJ's have an EGR. Since I have an '02 made in '01, my JBA headers have been setting in...

bigger cams for a jeep liberty

You can get just about any grind you want through The Fastman or KRC Performance. You will need to be very specific on what you want to get out of it, and what other modifications and specs you will have. If you're looking for low end, something in a 200 like in the 4.7 HO would probably be...

Oil Light comes on at Idle but not above 1000rpm's

Most likely it's the oil pressure sender going bad. It's happened to a bunch of us.

    would this look funny?

I know mine looked really bad with the 245/65R17's and the Frankenlift for the couple mile trip over to the tire store.

bigger cams for a jeep liberty

I need some info. How do you plan to use your KJ and what are your goals? Also, what year do you have, and what modifications have you already done?

bigger cams for a jeep liberty

Wow, this is an old thread brought back to life from before I was a member over here. If you are really serious about getting big power out of the 3.7, I can give you some advice from actual experience, and get you in contact with the right people. You are going to need a hefty budget though.

    is it me or...?

I've got PIAA 520's up front, a 40W X 4 amp and a 200W x1 amp. I can run it all with the headlights and fogs on without any dimming at all. I also have a 160 amp alternator and an Optima Red Top though.

Obviously 4X4 would be best, but a DTT and some good tires would really help.

4.7 V8 II into My KJ

I don't think that rumor is actually true. I've met a couple people who claimed to have seen it after seeing mine when it was racing, but after only a few questions it was pretty obvious they were full of it. The rumor popped up around the same time as we put the N2O on mine which was right...

2004 Jeep Treble - FUNNY STORY!

I see this all the time. I know much more about most people's vehicles than they do and I actually consider myself to be a little ignorant on vehicles. It's not what I do for a living. Any time I'm at a dealership, the sales people make comments like I should sell vehicles. I guess they don't...
