Skid plates discountinued for 02

"check engine" light, have u had it?
If you have the check engine light on try turning your key off and on 3 times without starting it. On the third time on you should see a code on your instrument display. That should be the error code that will tell you what is wrong.- icarl

4WD Tough Steering Normal??
When your kj turns a corner the outside wheel travels at a higher speed than the inside wheel because it has to travel a longer distance (arc) in the same time as the inside wheel. Fender Flare clips
I just bought some cheap plastic rivets from princess auto to try for putting those inner liners back in. Got to have those inner liners for mud purposes. SO much easier to clean. It literally takes 8 min to clean 1 wheel well full of mud without those liners.:eek:- icarl

Fender Flare clips
I don't have the part numbers but you can get the plastic clips from the dealer. The last time i tore my flares off though i bolted them back on. I haven't put the inner liner back in yet so not sure what i will use there.- icarl

What in the hell.
Yes, it is pointless to bash someone else's rig like that. That must have been a lot of work to make that thing and i wonder what he uses it for. I find it ironic that one guy said "That is the stupidest looking thing I've seen all day" and in his own vehicle description it says 02 tj on 60s...- icarl

It is an improvement over stock is what i mean. The lift allows for more ground clearance and bigger/better tires. Also the jba 6" has more flex in the ifs than stock. Just ask tjkj2002 why they had to rebuild the a-arm pockets. So it is an improvement. The d30a is really a non-issue unless...- icarl

Part of the problem with articulation in our ifs is the differential is fixed but in a sfa the differential can drop down creating more droop. I read that the original KJ had plans for a floating diff which meant the diff could drop and still be an ifs system. This would have allowed an...- icarl

Is it ok to use this grill?
You really don't live in a cold climate do you? :D Think -40 and you have to drive to work in that temp. blocking the airflow helps the engine to warm up faster and you get warm faster. If your engine is at -40 and you have to get it warmed up it does not help to have cold air blowing in...- icarl

You can use in winter but not in summer. Lots of people put cardboard to block the airflow in the winter time up here. But in the summer time you will overheat.- icarl

Oil filter relocation/remote oil filters
Do you have the 3.7L or the crd? If you have the 3.7L and have a skid plate you don't really need to worry about it getting hit. It's only if you have the crd since they mount the crd's oil filter on the bottom.- icarl

Sport/LTD fender flares
The sport flares are different than the LTD. On the LTD you can use regular paint but on the sport you have to use special plastic paint. Some people have had success with Krylon Fusion paint for plastics. Preparation is key.- icarl

Would you buy your KJ again???
I would say yes i am very glad i bought the kj. This was my first jeep, first 4x4 and i learned a lot about off-roading and stuff since i bought it. At the time i bought it i couldn't have possibly known i would be buying lift kits and big mt tires for it. Nor did i know anything about SFAs...- icarl

It depends on the brand of tire but here is how you calculate it. 225/75R16 => 225 is tire width in mm, 75 is ratio of tire width/tire height (of 1 side), 16 is rim diameter in inches. tire diameter/height = 225 x 0.75 x 2 / 10 / 2.54 + 16 = 29.3 in 230/70R16 => 230 is tire width in mm, 70 is...- icarl
