    Full Synthetic Oil

Great, I'll feel better using the filter now! Your original post only said "Champion", so I was concerned. The only time I've been stranded in the middle of nowhere was because a Champion spark plug blew apart while I was going all of 70 MPH, in top gear, at steady state cruise. (not in the...

    Noise while accelerating.

Did it go away when you let up on the gas? Did it go away after a certain speed? If yes, then it's probably the drive shaft. Were you in FT4WD? If you were, It could be the front drive shaft, if not it's the rear. Did it happen while turning only? Then check the CV joints.

    Tow hooks.

The M-bolt & the stud plate are the same part. My link above was supposed to take you to the proper part, but I see it did not work right, so I'll try again. Click Here, & if their is no part listed, type part number: 52059352AB into the "Multi-Part Search" window, select "JEEP" where it says...

    Tow hooks.

The most specialized piece you need is the studplate, which you can get for $10 (x2) here. There is also a 10mmx1.50 bolt you'll need & a threaded clip deal (x2)you can get at Ace Hardware for a few bucks. You can get the whole kit new for $105, and the auction is already at $25 plus the ~$30...

    Full Synthetic Oil

Thanks. My experience is that Champion makes lousy spark plugs. Are they better at making oil filters?

Full length sun roof... Liberator style

I can't remember which mag it was in but there was a quick article showing the install of a full length sunroof on a XJ. They are available from Street Beat Online, & are a universal fit. Okay, so they are on the KK too, but let's face it, the Idea came from The Liberator & The Liberator is...

    Full Synthetic Oil

5 quarts for $23 at Wally World? I'm switching to Mobil 1 next change. Amsoil is great but Mobil 1 is just as great, & a whole lot cheaper. I was at Wally World tonight, & saw Mobil1 oil filters for $10. Does anyone know about these? who is the actual manufacturer? I assume that if Mobil put...

    Fuel Filter Question

Gotcha. Yeah, that's the only reference to a fuel filter I can find in the parts manual. To the dealer I go I guess...(censored) Is there any possibility of modification to use a standard (less expensive) filter from some other application?

    Fuel Filter Question

I'm going to change the fuel filter. I see that Jeep sells what appears to be just the element for about $40, but I recall hearing that the fuel filter was more like $100. Can I change just the $40 element or do I need more components?

    Diffs?

Okay, so the DTT is a gear driven LSD... Cool! Is it a variable auto torque biasing LSD like the Quaife (not available for a D30), or does it simply lock in at a certain percentage of slip, like most clutch based LSDs?

    Diffs?

Does your True-Trac bind or make noise when turning, or is that just an auto locker thing?

Your favorite year for the Lib.

I don't know about the quality of the 42RLE, but in my opinion, if it is constantly shifting it's the wrong transmission for the job. That is the main reason I wanted to torch my 4.0L 2001 WJ... poor engine transmission match.
