I am amazed at the number of people that found out that they have a remote start after purchasing the Jeep. If I had one and sold the Jeep, I'd let the dealership know so I get more $ out of the trade. I know a dealership would put a higher $ tag on the jeep if they knew...
The only thing I ask for when it comes to a Jeep brand vehicle is "If I wheel this, will it get me stuck or get me home?" In the past couple of years a lot of models will only get me stuck. :(
Whether it has a standard or automatic transmission. You should be able to plug in what you've got into a website and go from there. I found this, if it helps...
I would go back to them and ask how they bled the hydraulics...
From the FSM:
NOTE: The clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder
and connecting line are serviced as an assembly
only. The linkage components cannot be overhauled
or serviced separately. The cylinders and
connecting line are sealed...
What exactly did they do? The throw-out bearing is what was causing the squeek but did they also do the clutch, the fork, pilot bearing? Im not sure what a poorly installed clutch may do but binding wouldn't be out of the question, to me that sounds like binding or not properly lined up gearing.
Here in the socialist land of Lincoln, you need to have the sign up or it's not trespassing, but once it's up it's game on. Do what you can to keep them on your property until the stateies or sheriff shows up.
I don't see anything wrong with taking a 2WD vehicle, Jeep or otherwise, off road as long as you're not doing it alone (bad idea with any vehicle) and you know what you can and can't get away with doing. Hell there were cars "wheeling" before there were 4x4's.
