Mine makes a little bit I believe that’s due to the light bar on the front. Now that I have MT tires though I can’t hear it. It was never that loud to begin with.
You can see the light bar in the picture.
I have a 2003 that had just the external trans cooler. Had trouble off road a couple times with trans temp spiking so I added the internal rad cooler in line as well as the PML pan. Haven’t had anymore problems and it been over a year now. My Jeep is also heavily modded and not light.
It took me four different shops till I found one that could align a lifted KJ. Unfortunately that meant paying for all four alignments but I needed it done or I couldn’t drive it. Stay away from chain stores as they usually have younger kids doing alignments and they don’t know what they are...
To bad as I currently have three of my KJs set up with his adjustable coilovers. Does this mean replacement parts will be impossible to get in the near future?
Thought I would update this. I spoke with Marlin at JBA about it and he is going to Warranty the shock and send me a new one. Apparently they are having a hard tome with the coilovers and getting the parts to assemble them so it took a while for them to get my shock out. Overall good customer...
Well over the weekend I disconnected the sway bar and squeak was still there. Tried greasing upper and lower ball joints and it was still there as well. I did notice that it doesn’t happen until I’ve driven for several minutes though but once I have driven and park I can still push in the...
I sprayed the sway bar bushings with silicon spray and had no change in the noise. Having someone push on the passenger side of the Jeep can produce the noise every time. This weekend I have off and plan on disconnecting the sway bar and testing just to make sure.
Anybody else running the JBA coil overs and have them squeak when driving. I’ve had mine in now for a little over a year and about two weeks ago the passenger coilover started squeaking over every bump in the road. It’s driving me nuts hearing it all the time. It has always made some noise...
Some of the earlier 42rle transmissions had the TCM on the fender as well. Mine does and I’ve seen a few others that way too. That is not a good direct way to tell which tranny you have. Counting the pan bolts is better.
Forgot to post this a while back but I got my latest purchase on the road after bringing it back from the dead. I’m sure a few of you will remember it from a long time ago on here and LOST. Not sure what to do with it now lol.

Ah I see, I took off the coolant nipple in it though. Unfortunately none of these heads had the egr deleted.
I have 4 CRDs currently sitting here two with rods thrown through the block plus one extra motor. I’m currently doing the head gasket on one to get it back on the road and the other...
